Laura Tait, RPR - Maritimes Regional Director

Laura Tait is currently the Director, Operations & Human Resources at Pinchin LeBlanc Environmental Ltd. Based in Dartmouth, NS, Laura provides support to Pinchin LeBlanc’s four offices in Atlantic Canada. Since completing her Bachelor of Commerce and earning her Certificate in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary’s University, Laura has focused her career to date on HR and operations management in small to medium sized companies and enjoys navigating growth and change in these entrepreneurial environments. Laura completed the Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) program in 2003 through IPM and also holds the CHRP designation.


Patricia McKay, RPR - Maritimes Regional Co-Chair

Patricia McKay is presently an independent HR Consultant having recently retired after 30 years with the Nova Scotia Community College. She was previously Employee Services Advisor with NSCC Shelburne Campus. She works in a number of areas including payroll, recruitment, benefits and training. Pat has a generalist background. She holds a Business Administration Certificate from Mount Saint Vincent University. Pat also has the following Certificates from St. Mary's University: Managing in a Unionized Work Environment, Compensation Planning Basics for HR Professionals, Essentials Skills for the Human Resource Professional, Legal and Human Rights Issues at Work, Power Interviewing and Managing in a Workplace. She also holds her RPR (Registered Professional Recruiter) designation through IPM.

Brandi Babando, RPR - Maritimes Regional Co-Chair
Bell, Bedford, NS

Brandi Babando is currently a Senior Specialist, Human Resources for Bell in Atlantic Canada. Based in Bedford, NS, Brandi provides support to her client group in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick. Brandi returned to school in her 20’s to earn her Certificate in Human Resource Management from Saint Mary’s University in order to focus her career to date on HR and operations management. Brandi completed the Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) program in 2004 through IPM and also holds the CPHR designation.


Jaime Moore, RPT - Ottawa Regional Director

Jaime Moore is currently HR Advisor at the Canadian Commercial Corporation. Jaime deals in a number of areas including recruitment and selection, health and safety, work description writing and classification, as well as some labour relations and HR policy development. Jaime holds a B.A. in Industrial Psychology from the University of Western Ontario as well as a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Sheridan College. Jaime has her Registered Professional Trainer (RPT) designation as well as her CHRP designation. Jaime has a generalist background and has held a variety positions in the past with organizations such as Nestlé Canada, The Children’s Aid Society of Ottawa and McConnell HR Consulting.

Brianne Carlson, RPR, RAS - Ottawa Regional Co-Chair
Association of Professors of the University of Ottawa , Ottawa, ON

Brianne Carlson is the Grievance Officer at the Association of Professors of the University of Ottawa. Working in the field of labour relations, Brianne provides bargaining unit members with expert advice on all matters under a Collective Agreement including grievances, accommodation requirements, complaint processes and conditions of work. Having worked in both the private and public sectors, Brianne has extensive experience in a number of areas within human resources including recruitment and selection, job classification and evaluation, employee relations and organizational governance and policy development. Brianne holds a B.A. in French and Spanish from Dalhousie University, a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Algonquin College and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Labour Relations. Brianne also holds her Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation and Registered Assessment Specialist (RAS) designation through IPM.

Cindy Ziobrowski, RPR - Calgary Regional Director

Cindy Ziobrowski is the Director of People & Culture for Mayfair Diagnostics in Calgary, Alberta. Mayfair Diagnostics is a leader in the medical imaging industry serving more than 700,00 patients and providing more than 90,000 teleradiology interpretations per year. As key member of the senior leadership team, Cindy is responsible for providing direction and support to the People & Culture team, identifying organizational needs and the strategic development and delivery of all core human resources functions. In addition to her Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) and Registered Professional Trainer (RPT) designations through IPM, she has completed her Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

Dmetri Berko, RPR - Calgary Regional Co-Chair
Alberta College of Art + Design, Calgary, AB

Dmetri Berko is the Student Recruitment Manager for the Alberta College of Art + Design in Calgary. Having spent the past 5 years in professional agency recruiting, he applies his proactive project management and planning skills in creative ways to help the college exceed application and enrolment targets. He has a Masters in Project Management from Keller Graduate School (DeVry University) and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Calgary. Since 2011, Dmetri has completed the Project Management Professional (PMP), the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and the Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designations. He is currently working towards the Canadian Management Professional (CMP) designation through IPM. Dmetri commits his volunteer time to working on community boards in executive positions from the Calgary Saracens Rugby Football Club to the Calgary Boys' Choir.

Kristin Krause Reed, RPR - Calgary Regional Co-Chair

Kristin Krause Reed is the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist for GE, General Electric Canada. In her role, Kristin supports all GE businesses in Western Canada, using her industry expertise and strong network to help GE recruit top talent. She has 11 years experience in recruitment in Calgary, 3 years working for an agency and 9 years at GE Canada. Kristin has been an RPR (Registered Professional Recruiter) through IPM since 2006 and has a Bachelor of Management Degree from the University of Lethbridge. Kristin also commits her volunteer time to the Junior Chamber of Calgary.

Linda Kellett - Toronto Regional Director

Linda Kellett is an independent HR Consultant. She has over twenty five years' HR experience, twenty of those with BDO Dunwoody LLP. She was a Director of Human Resources in BDO's National Office in Toronto. Linda has extensive expertise in the areas of recruitment, compensation, performance management and project management. Linda was responsible for the update and development of BDO policies and procedures. In 1995, Linda completed the requirements for her Certified Administrative Management (C.A.M.) designation, and in 2002 obtained her Canadian Personnel Professional (CPP) designation which recognizes human resource management skills. Linda has participated in "Real Time Coaching" and is a member of the Canadian Management Professionals Association and HRPA Ontario.

Reeshma Jassani, RPT, CMP - Toronto Regional Co-Chair

Reeshma Jassani is currently the Director of Human Resources/Labour Relations working for CN Rail. With over 15 years of experience in employment law and human resources, she oversees the HR strategy and planning for the organization including: implementing HR best practices, addressing the strategic needs of the business, performance management and compensation decisions, execution of organizational effectiveness, workforce and succession planning, disability case management and return to work programs, managing complex employee relations issues, analyzing and coaching senior leaders on legal risks relative to Human Rights and Employment Standards matters. She possesses strong knowledge and expertise of employment legislation and guides business leaders across Canada in fostering a development, coaching and mentoring culture within the organization. She holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Athabasca University, and has both her Canadian Management Professional (CMP) and Registered Professional Trainer (RPT) designations through IPM.

Shawn Nesseth, RPT - Toronto Regional Co-Chair

Shawn Nesseth is the Training Developer at 407 ETR Concession Company Limited in Woodbridge, Ontario. Shawn earned his Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a specialization in Sports Administration from Laurentian University and his Registered Professional Trainer (RPT) designation through IPM. Shawn is a Langevin Learning Services Master Trainer with specialty certifications as a Training Manager/Director, Training Generalist, and e-Learning Specialist. Shawn is dedicated to the design, development, and delivery of high-quality training initiatives, including Health and Safety, Compliance, Technical Skills, Soft Skills, and Customer Service. Shawn embraces “Lifelong Learning” and is committed to supporting the success of his colleagues through training and development.

Connie Olson is a Human Resources professional with over fifteen years’ experience in Senior HR Leadership roles. Jacalyn (Jackie) Appelt is a career Human Resources Generalist with comprehensive broad-based experience. She has a passion for HR Management and a penchant for labour/employee relations. She has extensive experience as a leader, manager and professional within public and private sector organizations including post-secondary institutions, healthcare, libraries, municipal government, industrial camp & catering, trucking and public education. Jackie brings integrity, teamwork and a collaborative, interest based approach while demonstrating sound judgment, due diligence, dedication and determination to her profession.
